New Pieces...

...okay, maybe not all "NEW NEW" but newly revised.
You know how I am always talking about how I have like 60-80 pieces not listed yet just sitting in my storage areas! I get sidetracked (A.D.D. seriously, I have that) with orders and such or the weather isn't giving me good lighting...or I just couldn't figure out how to color correct the photos...and the list of excuses goes on! I really do have pieces I made for New Years 2008. So ridiculous! I was freaking out so much with the knocking off of my stuff I wanted to copyright them first and then I just forgot about them! I'm a freak I know and I have gotten A LOT better about not looking to see who's knocking me off anymore. It wasn't worth the grief!
LOL!
So that's why you'll see some pieces reminiscent of not soo long ago designs.
I'm in the process of listing them so you should find them in my Etsy shop soon!

A Midsummer Nights Dream Custom Design

Thought I would sneak in a moment to share my new favorite Custom design!
I have this amazing Bride that asked me to design her something for her "Midsummer Night's Dream" themed wedding. She was SO MUCH fun to work with and we found out that we shared the same birthday this month!
LOL!!!
Of course the moment we started corresponding and I saw the pictures that she was sending me for inspiration I knew we were meant to do this!
I think what we decided on really came together!
Lot's of billowing tulle, various sizes and shapes of goose, hackle and coque feathers...and let's not forget my signature SPARKLE! There was a lot of detail that is hard to distinguish in these photos. I hand wired light blue Swarovski crystals into the focal piece and then also placed all the tiny Swarovski crystals with my tweezers...brings back memories!
LOL!!!!


I was THRILLED when she said she literally "screamed" when she opened it she was SO EXCITED and LOVED it SO MUCH! I can't wait to see how beautiful she looks wearing it with her gown!

I rarely get to make such elaborate pieces but honestly, these are some of my most memorable and favorites to design.

New Old Pieces!

Ha! ha! Ha!
I just have to laugh since these are literally over a year old and I am listing them now!
As stated in a previous post I actually designed several of these in 2008 for the 20009 New Year AND then decided to create a few more intended to be Spring 2009!
Needless to say I FINALLY got these all copyrighted so I am going to list them for Spring 2010 collection!

So Crazy!
Still works though.
I actually stopped making feather pieces when I noticed at the time there were only MAYBE 4-5 people counting myself making bridal feather pieces on Etsy. Well, soon enough designs like mine and the other 4 of my peers were being knocked off like CRAZY! This is why I stopped listing them and decided to wait until I got the designs copyrighted. Over a year later there are TONS of vendors making feather bridal pieces.
Although, I still think mine stand out...not to be big headed, just meaning I don't make the SAME variations that it seems 70% of the vendors on Etsy are making. It bums me out though because the 3 that I remember standing out with THEIR original feather designs have been knocked off so much that I keep thinking I see their items ALL the time and realize it's just ANOTHER knock off of theirs.
*sigh*

So, since the original pictures were taken so long ago I needed to update and take NEW pictures of my pieces and thought I'd share a few.
These should pop up in my shop in the next month or two.









This is just a peek at the new "old" collection!
I have A LOT more so definitely check the shop! Updating pictures is such a chore but I want to keep everything fresh and coherent.
