BUT, even better, I have a NEW Favorite Designer of mine to share with you!!!

Let me introduce you toFeltmeup Designs
SUPER TALENTED and creative maker of Such cute felt creatures I almost feel the need to go brush my teeth!!!

Here is a little more about the creator/designer taken from her profile:

"I am a felt maker and fiber artist based in Hull, UK. I make bags, purses, tea cosies, slippers, embroidered felt art works, felt sculptures and a currently attempting to make fairies... bad fairies!

I started as an embroiderer but I became addicted to felt making after several years of flirting with it on various courses and even teaching a couple of sessions on felt to my students when i taught in Dewsbury.

Eventually the call of the felt became too much and I took up a little community course for fun where I met some of my best friends. I fell in love with felting almost as soon as i finished my first tiny little sample."

I am SOOOO IN LOVE with these that it was difficult to choose just a few to share!

Awe, such a wonderful alternative cake topper!

NEW TAX RATE INCREASE as of APRIL 1, 2009

Well, it was bound to happen in this economy.
I just received a "Special Notice" in the mail from my State Board of Equalization effective April 1, 2009, the state sales and use tax rate increases by 1%.
"The 1% tax rate increase will expire on either July 1, 2011, or July 1, 2012 depending upon weather the voters approve the proposed Budget Stabilization constitutional amendment in a statewide election to be held May 19, 2009. "

SETS!

ok.
I'm kinda cheating since I haven't had the time to make "new" items...and since I have been feeling AWFUL the last few days, I put a few existing pieces together to make some GORGEOUS sets!!!
I thought to share a few pictures and then I am going to bed early again!
...I barely dragged myself out of bed after 12 hours of sleep!
I think I am getting acclimated to the Northern California weather. It HAS to be that. I just feel FREEZING or COLD ALL the time!!! I am bundled up like that poor child in "A Christmas Story" I KNOW you people HAVE to know who I am talking about! (I LOVE that movie)
Heaven forbid you come knocking on my door because you would laugh to see how ridiculously bundled up I am.
I caught a glimpse of myself passing a mirror and literally "laughed out loud" seeing how silly I looked!!!
:P

ok.
Back to sharing pictures!!!

...relapse...

ugh...I think since I was pushing myself through my "not feeling well" for the last several days...last night my legs and feet were REALLY BAD. I don't know WHAT I did different but the flair up was not pretty. I actually haven't had an episode this bad in months!
I just felt terrible this morning and didn't get out of bed until almost 1:00.
Sorry everyone, I didn't make it to the post office today. I'll make sure to go tomorrow.
My sinuses are hurting like crazy and I am SOOOO Congested.
I just received some great products from Joyful Girl Natural. I got the allergy nasal decongestant product. PERFECT TIMING!!
...I am having problems with my Photshop so it's not working otherwise I would have listed a picture of my new products.
Perhaps I will when I get it working again!
Anyway, Sorry that the packages will go out tomorrow.
I am actually going to turn in early.
Thinking positive I'll start fresh and new tomorrow morning!

Feeling better!

Ah, I am feeling much better...I am still a bit under the weather but compared to a few days ago...I feel MUCH better!
I think I'll turn in a bit early to be on the safe side.
I can see in my eyes I'm still not well.
But, I just HAD to share a few pieces I finished!!!
Being sick kinda had me a bit behind...but I know I can only do what I can only do...SO thanks for your patience everyone!!!!
I am working as diligently as I can!
So, like I was saying...
I FINALLY finished a few customs I wanted to share with you all!
Here is a lovely set I created for the Bride. After a little drama (I'll post about this later) everything turned out wonderfully.

I had another client who LOVED my Winter Satin piece but wanted it in Ivory. So here is my rendition of it in Ivory.

I LOVE this earring set! The Bride wanted a matching pair to her Queen's Lace flower.

I just adore Gardenias. My realistic flowers are so much fun because they indeed look VERY realistic! My Bride requested my signature jeweled center. Dazzling "A" quality Freshwater pearls glow against the sparkling clear Swarovski crystals!
Classic Beauty.

Thanks again to all my Brides!!!!

Sniffle...blow...cough

Ugh...I imagine it was bound to happen.
I am NOT feeling well AT ALL.
I think I caught a chill a few days ago taking the garbage containers out to the street.
I started with a scratchy throat...
Last night and today I have the stuffy head, itchy throat, headache and congestion.
LOL!
I sound like a cold medicine commercial.
...I did go buy some DayQuil and NyQuil.
Not really a fan but I like that it helps me sleep. Most "sleeping" med don't work on me...even the prescription stuff.
So, I sleep for at least 5 hours with this.
I am SO tired since I don't feel well.
I think today will be a short work day.

Delicious!

So now that I am cooking only for me and more importantly, have a refrigerator and stove that work... I thought I'd share some of my recent favorites.

It's been freezing cold since I've been here so home made soup has been PERFECT! This is literally my 3rd pot that I have made!

Tons of yummy fresh vegetables!
I can't seem to get enough!

Yesterday I thought I'd treat myself to some stir fry.
Fresh Snow Peas, Shiitaki mushrooms, celery and chicken.

Totally random I know.
Just thought I'd share!
I am no chef FOR SURE! But, I do like to cook...and LOVE to eat good food!

Remember?

Remember my old posting about all the merchandise I accumulated over the last year???
Holy Cow!
Since I was packing everything for the move I realized I SERIOUSLY have at least 100 pieces that I made over last year and never had time to list!!!!
That's CRAZY??!!!!
SO MANY Beautiful pieces!!!!
Sometimes I just would get in a mood and work for 12 hours straight! OK. minus potty breaks and eating.
lol
Now I'm busy with all my customs so I'll try and sneak some of these pieces in my listings.
Here are a few pics of them.
You should find them soon in my shop!

I'M BACK!!!!

OH MY GOSH!!!!
That is all I can say.

No, wait.

WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!

Seriously, that HAD to be THE WORST MOVE I have EVER taken part in!!!!
Moving 7 hours from where I was didn't help.
Previously I was always able to move little by little with my car so I NEVER realized JUST HOW MUCH STUFF I had until NOW!
It was ALL ONE OUT OF CONTROL Haul!
Also, because of my health I wasn't able to do much moving myself so I had one person doing 90% of the moving!
I thought he was going to DIE!
We were up at 6 a.m. that morning, got the truck by 7:30...and finished packing the 16 foot truck by 3:45p.m.
Like I said, it was really only one person since I couldn't do much and the other person we had helping was there to "drive the truck" so he wasn't much help either. Don't get me wrong, I was THRILLED to have a second person drive the truck! My doctor was VERY concerned about blood clots with me being in a car for that long. I knew I was going to have a really hard time with my legs if I had to drive...I was a bit freaked out myself. So, as if packing that truck alone wasn't enough he then drove me in my car too!!!!
SO...WE arrived like at MIDNIGHT...
And he then proceeded to unpack the truck.
I think around 3 a.m. I passed out for a bit and we all slept for a few hours.
Around 7:00 we were up again and he began to finish the unpacking.
I wish I remembered to get a picture of the inside of the truck.
Anyway, it was around 12:00 noon when they were off to return the truck!!!
He was SORE for DAYS after the move. I could never have done it without him!

So, since then I have been trying to get everything unpacked...get the internet to work...It felt like FOREVER I didn't have internet!!!!! Trying not to stress out because I wasn't able to contact customers. Luckily, many of them were very supportive after reading my shop page and knew what was up. I had emails wishing me good luck in the move. Almost everyone has been understanding with the delay of emails and packages... Unfortunately, you can't please everyone.

Ah, well...here are some pictures to share!

Here are a few before pictures.
This was how crammed and scary my "living room" looked as I packed.

At least my kitty Topoli found a comfortable place within all the mess!!!!

Scary thing is this is almost what it looked like before the packing started!
Most of my live merchandise is carefully placed in these boxes.
...I TOLD you I have a TON of stuff!!

Now the unloading in to the new place!

Seriously, this room would have been FULL as in NO FLOOR showing if the extra boxes and stuff wasn't in the garage!!!!

AHHHH!
Finally!
Here is a picture of my new Baby....I never got to share.
This was my "Big Girl Business Purchase"
...yeah, I'll be paying it off for the next 5-6 months at least!!!! (I'm crossing my fingers it won't take longer)

I thought I might NEVER see my work space so CLEAN and semi organized I thought I should take a picture while I have a chance! LOL!
I am one of those "messy" artists...I do what I like to call "The Spread" and everything gets everywhere...and then when I can't stand it I clean it all up like this and start all over again!
LOL!!!!

Here again are all the boxes of live merchandise and supplies...the tubs are off to the side as well as 2 book cases FULL of more supplies...If I showed it all you might be scared for me!
:P
Like the ghetto light box that I have to fix if I am ever going to use it again!
LOL!!!!

All I can say is that this room has so much morning light and I could easily say this is twice the size of my tiny living room.
Which works since I am using this like a studio apartment...lol but with a house connected to it.
:P
I am SOOOO MUCH MORE HAPPY Here!
That old place made me TERRIBLY DEPRESSED!
No more crazy neighbor! (a LONG story)
No more screaming at all hours crazy homeless people...I know it's sad...but seriously, AT ALL HOURS...
No more car rental place next door and hearing EVERYTHING (do I REALLY need to know the guy is going in for a MRI?) from 7 a.m. EVERY MORNING....NO MORE CAR ALARMS going off AT AT ALL HOURS of the day!
Yes.
I AM HAPPY!!!!!
Topoli is getting used to the new place too. He's soo old I am glad that the move wasn't TOO traumatizing for him.

So, I have to say THANK YOU!!!!
THank You everyone for your patience and understanding during my very stressful move.
I am getting through ALL my convos and emails and trying to make sure I answer you all as soon as possible.
I am sure I will beback in the groove of things within the next few weeks.
...yeah, I left my cord for my printer so I have to wait for him to mail it to me...so for now I visit the post office everyday to mail out packages.
Slowly but surely.
Thanks everyone for all the support!!!!

MOVING

Hey everyone!
I have been beside myself trying to pack and get everything done before I move!!!!!
...taxes.....Dr.'s appointment(s)...car maintenance.....
Yeah, all I see is $$$$$ flowing OUT of my pocket!
:P
With this said, I realize that it is TOO much for me to try and do all of this AND still run my shop at full capacity.
unfortunately, I can't.
So, as of now, the beginning February I am temporarily putting all new customs on hold and ask that everyone please excuse any and all slow responses to convo's and e-mails. I NEED to focus on my move and hope to be back 100% for my clients by the 11th...14th at the latest.
If there are any purchases during this time period I will try to get them promptly in the mail. However, due to my moving they may take longer to drop then usual and will be in the mail by the 13th at the latest.
Thank you EVERYONE for your support and understanding!
I am hoping this move will help in improving my health!
Much love to you all!!!
